At Grijalva Elementary, morning custodian Marcia Dojaguez and afternoon custodian Alejandra Salcido form an incredible team that ensures their campus shines from sunrise to sunset!

Marcia, a true TUSD veteran with 19 years of dedicated service, sets a positive vibe for the school every morning, taking immense pride in keeping the campus spotless for visitors. As a proud TUSD mom, she loves spending time with her children and deeply appreciates how TUSD’s CTE (Career & Technical Education) programs successfully launched her older kids into the medical field. When she is off the clock, she loves taking long hikes to unplug and wind down.

Complementing the morning energy is Alejandra Salcido, who brings a wonderful fresh perspective to the team in her first year of service with TUSD, following a six-month start at Mansfeld Middle School. As the afternoon custodian, Alejandra thrives in the peace and quiet of her shift, taking deep pride in perfectly prepping the classrooms for the next day while enjoying sweet, minimal interactions with remaining staff. When she isn't on campus, she loves taking her kindergarten-aged grandkids to fun learning events around Tucson.

While one tackles the morning rush and the other thrives in the evening calm, Marcia and Alejandra share a beautiful common bond: the immense pride they take in their work to keep Grijalva a beautiful, welcoming place to learn!
